Great Start

Really great start, love everything thats going on...and the melody is really great. The intros good, but could be alittle stronger -- that will change in time, good job for now cant wait to hear the final... if you have any problems send me a message and ill try to help

Mr-green-apple responds:

yea ill hit u up with the Flp when i see u on aim. maybe bring somethin new to the track.

5/5, good.

Well out of all the songs I have heard from you this is probably your best.

I have a few recommendations though -

Your kick ( its a bit weak , and a bit fruity sounding ) Eq that a little more to blend in with the deep sounds and make it sound more full rather than plucky if you get what i mean? Your intro is very very long, I was kind of bored actually in the begginning... I think you should start with some light instruments in the beginning then break into your acid skills... that can make this song have a very catchy and unique feel to it.... I also think your drums can be a proved, because they are the same over and over again, maybe a reverbed snare incorporated somewhere in there ( not sure ) -- Idk, I am not an acid addict, so you can take the advice or leave it :] Good job though, let me know when the finals out.

Death-9 responds:

Stuff like this makes me wish I had the full version of FL so I could improve it :( The only thing I can't do is save and improve later, that's why all my songs are done in a single sitting.

Drums are really my weak point, as I've never been very good at changing them for a transition or anything. I'm going to try out Ableton and Reason soon, and see how that works for me. The kick definitely could have been EQ'd a bit more, but I actually think the 'pluck' is the charm of this particular one. The way I see it, almost all of my synths sound 'plucked', and so I gave my kick a hint of that as well.

As for 'spicing up the intro' with extra stuff, I'd need a lot of practice before I could even try that- my synths are all very unsubtle...

Acid can be a very interesting genre if you ever felt like exploring it. My buddy ph0ne (DJ_ISA) makes some killer acid tracks if you felt like getting into it ;)

As always

I heard this demo of yours a whileeee back, and I've liked the outcome. Hey the mixings alright, but it still sounds pretty damn proffessional...I see where the bennassi and Van Buuren's inspiration definitly came into use...similar structure and techniques that they use....overall great song, I see where others may dislike the intro and what not, but Im a trance and house lover so no problems there :P ...again great job 5/5 as always

Karco responds:

Glad you liked it, thanks for the review and the high ratings! :)

lets see...

Pretty long intro, good fx -- I think it could do with a little more progression, I like the snare and the filter on it (or whatever that is) the synth coming in is nice, and the melodies very nice...(in my opinion you coudlve layered the synth though). Who's the original by? Not much more to say here but gj 5/5

A-New-Decade responds:

I'm trying not to be so progressive, listen to my others songs and you'll see why I wanted a quick, catchy intro! lol. I'm glad you like it, and thanks for the review =]

Wow.

Good job with this. I like the mix of the genres into one. You can definitly hear all the elements. Its really happy sounding and I like how you use your drums... It looks like you spent alot of time on the percussion...5/5 for sure

LastEncore responds:

You think it sounds happy? That's odd...? Thanks for the five!

wow.

A demo user only huh? This is really well, seems like you know your way around FL for just having the demo. If you don't know already ... a nice trick is converting all your instruments into midi output and save the piano rolls as midis so you can reimport them if your comp ever crashes. Not much to say but gj

DjCompass responds:

Thanks. I appreciate the tip, though i (finnaly) bought the full version recently, so i may not use it. Thanks for the review.

Wow

5/5 for sure... This is amazing stuff! Very catchy melodies and great build up used here. I like the slow start (although for most NGers thats a quick 0)...it builds tension and I also really like your breaks in this song with the choir and the clashing bells and kicks. The title is very well suited for this song. great job none the less!

dontxthemusic responds:

Thanks! And yea I know the slow part at first could hurt me. But honestly, if something gives it all at the beginning, there is nothing to look forward to for me! just my opinion so I apply that to my work. Thanks so much foryour review!!!

okay...

Heres your problem...its good with the bells as the melody and what not, but I was expecting a trancey saw to come in hard with a hard kick and really emphesize the techno in this and get you jumping. As soon as the melody comes back in at 24 seconds have a hard thumping kick and nice synth with it.

ganon95 responds:

yup, i was planning on doing that

Wow

Very good...wierd cus i was just looking into remixing this (a trance style)...anyway not much to say, I like it. Did you get a midi, or what? If so, could you pm me the link or something :] Thanks and 5/5 of course.

J-ROB26 responds:

dawg i dont even know what a midi is??!?! lol

Good.

I like the piano roll with the nice deep ambient sound. That saw you have coming in around 1 :15 - should have a filter on it leading up, and be in maybe 1/16 notes and lead in halfs or something if you get what I mean. I like the incorporation of the guitar and the build up of the drums as well. This has some good potential, you can make it much better than where it is right now! Keep going.

JPLaro responds:

thanks

I'll advise you wend I'll be finish!

whatsss gooodd
